Rooms to Go Donates Turkeys to Brookwood!

We are so blessed to have our friends looking after us!  Rooms to Go delivered a bunch of frozen turkeys to Brookwood today to some excited citizens...

Brookwood Featured on Great Day Houston This Week!

The Brookwood segment for Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan aired this morning and will re-air on Black Friday, November 29th.

 

In addition, the CafĂ© segment of the Brookwood story will air on tomorrow’s Great Day Houston Show, Channel 11, KHOU.

Tour Guide Training at Brookwood

Did you know that you can train to become a Volunteer Tour Guide for Brookwood?  We have tours scheduled nearly every week day here, and our Docents are the ones that make this possible! Our next training session will be held in the spring.

Thanks Wyatt Resources for the Turkeys!

Our friends from Wyatt Resources Inc., in Fulshear, Texas, came by today in the cold to donate a bunch of frozen turkeys for our citizens!

It's Alway Fun to Dance with Miss Moo!

Miss Moo, along with some Houston Livestock & Rodeo Committee Members, led the residential citizens in some fun dancing for exercise on Saturday, November 16th.  It is hard not to enjoy that kind of exercise and everyone participated with smiles on their faces!

The hard work is paying off in Horticulture!  Just look:

All of our work shops are hard at work.  Below, the citizens and staff

Thank you to the Herzstein's for our "Heat Day Party"!

 

Thanks to Judy & Marc Herzstein for sponsoring our citizens' "Heat Party" recently, where everyone celebrated the end of the extreme heat of our long summer!  Everyone enjoyed snowcones from Blizzard of Oz and there was a dance party in Horticulture later that day.  :)

Brookwood will be on TV on Friday, November 29th!

Deborah Duncan’s Great Day Houston show on BROOKWOOD will air on KHOU Channel 11 on Black Friday, November 29th sometime during her 9 a.m. show.  This will be Deborah’s Shop Till You Drop show and will be great timing before Brookwood's Open House.
