Another Eagle Scout Project Completed at Brookwood!

On Friday, March 21st, Mitchell Fly of Boy Scout Troop 747 in Jersey Village, Texas, came to Brookwood to assemble and place two large, sturdy free-standing wooden swings for our citizens to enjoy.

From Left to Right:  scout member Nick DeMarino, Eagle Scout Candidate Mitchell Fly,
Brookwood's own "Grandpa" and scout member Jake Abeyta try out
the new swing in Fern's Oasis, in front of the Weekley Home.

Mitchell Fly, Greg Glauser and "Grandpa" enjoy the new swing.  Mitchell's brother, Chuck, also
completed his Eagle Scout Project at Brookwood a couple of years ago, building us
the nice wooden benches located outside of our crafts building.

Brookwood citizens try out the new swing!

The second swing was placed at the Kilroy Home.

Brookwood extends a BIG THANK YOU

to Mitchell for a job well done!

Mustang CAT & Houston Texans Team Up for Brookwood!

On March 19th, Brad Tucker, CEO of Mustang CAT and Cal McNair, Texans COO came out to present a check for $50,000 to the citizens of Brookwood.  This was the culmination of a joint effort between Mustang CAT and the Houston Texans’ Special Teams, where every time the Special Teams scored, Mustang CAT made a charitable donation in Brookwood’s name.

“Giving back to the community is really what brings us our joy,” said Cal McNair.  “We are so happy to support Brookwood.  There is not another group of people that are more exuberant about the Houston Texans and this is a great day,” added Brad Tucker.
