Hope to see you there!

Clay Shop & Ceramics Now Combined!

Our citizens are working hard, collaborating on the ceramics production from the beginning stages with the wet clay to the completed painted and fired products!  Have a look...

 Pounding the clay flat.

 Sanding off the rough edges.

Cutting out ornaments from rolled out clay.

Brushing off clay dust from a sanded ornament!  (The mask keeps the dust  out!)

 Sponge painting/blending a fall plate.

 Sanding a bread basket.

 Painting mugs.

Removing an ornament from the shape cutter.

 Painting details on ornaments.

Placing Brookwood stickers on the completed product.

 Sanding an ornament.

 More sanding.

Painting a small plate.

Smoothing out the edges of an ornament.

Everyone hard at work!  This shop makes me think of Santa's Helpers!

What a Great Day in our Ceramics Department!

Finishing Shop Takes on New Tasks...

Our Finishing Shop, which is now located next to our Ceramics Shop, is excited to be taking on new tasks, including helping to clean bread basket bowl molds and other ceramics items prior to their re-use or painting...

Great work guys and gals!  We are so proud of you.

Brookwood Citizens Enjoyed Play...

Thank you to The Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center (KVPAC), who returned to Brookwood this past Wednesday with their "Books Alive" musical performance of "Don't Eat the Bluebonnets!"

Our citizens had a lot of fun with this play as you will see below...

New Vans for Brookwood!

Mike Hall, Brookwood Board member and owner of Ron Carter-League City car dealership,  delivered 4 new vans to Brookwood this week to be used for transporting citizens!

Below, our citizens and staff had some fun with Mike Hall today, putting him and all four vehicles through a virtual citizen "car wash"...

Brookwood would like to thank Mike Hall and Ron Carter-League City

for their generous support and concern for our adults with special needs!
