Busy Hands Working for You!

Our Citizens work hard and they have the hands to prove it.  Below are some great pictures of some of their hands in action, taken by Rosie Hristova of 1.618 Multimedia and donated to Brookwood...

We hope you will come show your support of all our Citizens at our
Open House, December 4th and 5th!

Please Join Us for Open House Dec. 4th & 5th!

Hi friends!  It is nearly time for our annual Open House, where you can tour campus and say hello to our Citizens in their Studios, grab some lunch from the Buffet at the Cafe, shop 'til you drop and, of course, catch one of our four performances of our Citizens' play, "She Shall Be Praised."  We know you won't want to miss this great warm-up to the Christmas Season.

Below are a few pictures from last night's Ladies' Night Out, to give you a little preview of our beautiful store at Brookwood!  And remember to visit our other stores in Old Town Spring and at Grand Parkway inside Gallery Furniture at Richmond, near Katy.

We hope to see you this Friday or Saturday!  Citizen Plays are at
10 a.m. and 2 p.m., both days, in the Cafetorium!

A job for each person!

Citizen Bob enjoys working on his emails at his desk.  His other duties include providing support in the Cafeteria, checking on our Citizens in the Horticulture Shop and Cafeteria, and acting as our Safety guy around the campus!  Bob is a dedicated worker who takes pride in his work!  (Pictured here with staff member Beth Self.)

Concentration...

Now this is focus!

Well-done, J.J.!  Be sure to check out our famous hand-painted Comfort Bowls!

GRACE

Some of you may have heard this before, but I haven’t.  I just wanted to share it with you.  During the interview of a potential new citizen and his family, Carol Whitmore discussed Brookwood’s Core Values with them as she does with all new potentials.  Once she finished, the father shared his interpretation of the word GRACE.  He said it is God’s Riches AChrist’s Expense.  How amazing and heartwarming?  This touched me so deeply.  We often forget the sacrifices the Lord has made to provide us with such riches in our life on a daily basis.  In light of this, now I have another way of understanding the true meaning of GRACE in addition to Brookwood’s definition of it.

Thanks,
