BROOKSHIRE, TX – The 2015 Houston Astros Caravan, presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors, once again included a visit to Brookwood’s adults with special needs on January 23rd, at 1:30 p.m. Astros pitchers Dallas Keuchel and Pat Neshek and alumni pitcher J.R. Richard, along with Astros Ball Park Entertainment Team Member Rob Runnels and Astros Shooting Stars Lindsay and Temika, were welcomed by enthusiastic Brookwood fans at a Pep Rally on the Brookwood campus in Brookshire, Texas. The Caravan gives Astros players, alumni and broadcasters an opportunity to engage with and thank fans as the team gets ready for their 2015 Spring Training and Season.
Brookwood citizens enjoyed cheering the players on, participating in the Pep Rally with them and getting autographs from the visiting Astros after the program. According to Brookwood’s Activities Coordinator, Greg Glauser, “We were so excited to welcome the Astros players and representatives to Brookwood. We are proud of our associations with the Astros and the long tradition of the Astros visiting us for an Appreciation Pep Rally. The Brookwood citizens are huge Astros fans and follow all of the latest updates on the players and team. This year, we will be going to all of the Wednesday home games! GO ‘STROS!”
