Worship Center
Brookwood's beautiful Worship Center was built in 1999, through a generous donation from Joe and Marion Mundy. The Worship Center is used daily, with Brookwood Tours beginning there. There is an interdenominational worship service for our citizens every Sunday at 3 p.m., as well, led by Greg Glauser and volunteer lay and ordained leaders from various congregations. These services are open to all and Brookwood invites you to attend one to worship with our citizens. Also, our newest work enterprise involves a Special Events team of citizens, who help get the Worship Center all ready for weddings!
"God the Creator"
This 16' tall stained glass window draws the eye to the altar and the heavens above. Created by the Cavellini Glass Company in San Antonio, this window represents everything created by God. There are also two dove windows to the left and the right of the altar, following the same theme. An additional 22 stained glass windows throughout the Worship Center represent items either made or grown at Brookwood. The stained glass windows and furnishings were all underwritten by many generous donors.
Do You Recognize This?
Look up when you are in the Worship Center and you will see some amazing architecture details!
God's Chair, Front and Center!
One of our citizens noticed that God didn't have a place to sit at Brookwood. So, you will find these Windsor Chairs placed in various gathering areas around Brookwood, so God has a place to sit, too!
St. Fiacre, the Patron Saint of Gardeners
St. Fiacre stands in the garden area in front of the Worship Center and was crafted in our Cement Shop by our citizens.
