Meet David...

       David in Project BESTT                                   David assists HR by stuffing payroll envelopes.

David was born in Houston, Texas, where his family still lives.  He became a Brookwood citizen in July, 2005.  He lives at the Inn at Brookwood, with his friends Jamie, Chris, Rick, Richard, Patricia, Michele and many others.  He worked in the horticulture and cement departments when he first came to Brookwood, but soon discovered that he preferred working in Project BESTT.

In Project BESTT, David is able to assist in all kinds of projects, including sorting cards, assembling boxes and stuffing paychecks into envelopes, plus much more.  His teacher, Erika Lamb says “There isn’t anything that David can’t do in Project BESTT.  He is such a good worker!”  David says that he “loves earning money and saving it.”

In his spare time, David enjoys listening to music, including rock-n-roll, soft rock and a little country music.  He likes to draw pictures, too, and loves watching the Price is Right on TV.  He also enjoys the Saturday Socials, especially when he gets a diet soda there.  His favorite meals in our cafeteria are cheeseburgers, pizza and tacos.  He likes to take drives into the country with his teachers, friends and family members as well.

David’s favorite colors are blue, red, green and yellow.
